About this Event
Devotions Poetry Club is a club where each month we will read a selected poetry book and then gather to discuss it, hang out, and creatively engage with the material we’ve read.
This poetry book club is named after a poetry book called “Devotions” by Mary Oliver who is also a large inspiration for the formation of this group. We will read and discuss amazing poetry and will also have space, optional of course, to make art & write about our responses to the poetry we’ve read (think mini zines, poetry writing prompts, collaging, etc) if we feel so inclined.
This club is designed to be a comforting and creative space to talk about poetry, hang out with others who have shared interests and build community, and nurture the creative poets inside us all. I hope to see you there!
The book we will be reading this month is Devotions by Mary Oliver. It is an incredible work of poetry & art and I am very excited to read it alongside you guys and then talk more about in February. Happy reading!
