About this Event
The wait is finally over!
Hi everyone, my name is Marian Wegbe, Student Partner for the School of Natural Sciences, and I’m excited to invite you to the launch of a new network space for women, trans students, and non-binary students of Black heritage across the School of Natural Sciences and the School of Engineering.
This first session will primarily be a study and revision space, designed to help you focus during exam season while also connecting with others in a supportive and welcoming environment.
As this is our first event, we’ll also take some time to:
- Introduce ourselves and get to know one another
- Take part in light icebreakers
- Work in small groups for encouragement, accountability, and shared support
- Build connections for future study groups and collaboration beyond these sessions
- Name the network!
The aim of this network is to create a stronger sense of community, belonging, and mutual support for Black heritage students within these schools, while giving you a chance to shape what this space could become in the future..
Free snacks will be provided 🍪
When: Tuesday 2 June from 2:30pm
Venue: Booth Street East G.04 (ground floor)
I’d love to see you there!
