Come join us for an afternoon of creative expression, self-reflection, and art making. This workshop will be delivered by Registered Provisional Psychologist and Art Therapist, Sabrina Sbarzella (She/They) from Northland Psychology.

About This Event:
Thinking about how we show up for others, It is important to create time to show up for ourselves. Using the power of storytelling, empathy, and zine-making participants are asked to reflect on a story about themselves, who they are, who they are becoming, and who they are wanting to be.
This workshop is part of the See me. Hear me. Expressive Art Show with Canopy Studios Art + Wellness that aims to bring awareness of the healing power of the arts.
18+ yr event. No prior art skills are required. Materials will be provided and art created in the event is free to take home
Cost is by donation.
Location
Canopy Studios is an art and wellness hub located in a heritage home at 1723 9th St SW, Calgary, in the Lower Mount Royal neighborhood. We aim to enhance, nurture, and improve individual and collective mental health and overall well-being through art as a wellness tool. Canopy Studios welcomes the art and wellness community to nurture their personal creativity and to share and explore creative offerings (classes, workshops, events).

Unfortunately the heritage building has stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

Find free 2h parking on 18th or 19th ave SW or parkplus zones near 17th ave SW. No parking in side driveway or in front of building as it is permit only.
