Come along for a walk around the quarry and along to the trigg point where we will be greeted by a local history buff who will give a brief talk on why trigg points exist and a demonstration on how they where used. We will then walk along to the site of the old workhouse to discuss the conditions in which people where made to work. We will then finish off with a visit to the cold war bunker to discuss the history and purpose.Tea and coffee will be available at the end of the visit and anyone wishing to go inside is welcome to do so.
£5 per person. Children are free.
