Since 1707, Fortnum & Mason has championed the exceptional work and time-honoured making methods of talented artisans around the world.Earlier this year, we added a new chapter to that storied history, by launching a search for the UK & Ireland’s very best new and undiscovered food and drink producers.
And now, after an impossibly competitive and very delicious judging process, we’re delighted to introduce the winners of our first Open Call – each of which will soon be found on the shelves at Fortnum's.
About Umami Bros:
We are proud to work with one of our Fortnum & Makers, The Umami Bros. They’re the Umami Bros – three friends who started experimenting with flavour during the chaos of lockdown 2020. What began as a home kitchen obsession quickly became a mission: to craft a Japanese-style mayo with a British heart.
Finding the right ingredients wasn’t easy. Sourcing during COVID meant delays, dead ends, and a lot of trial and error. But after months of testing and tweaking, we landed on a recipe we loved – rich, smooth, and bursting with umami.Born from craving, built with care – this is craft mayo made for flavour fans, by flavour fans.
About this session:
In this session, we'll be showcasing The Umami Bros Japanese style mayonnaise. You will be able to taste the products as well as have an interactive demonstration to showcase the versatility of their mayonnaise. We will also be joined by their co-founders, James Killer, Aaron Burgess-Smith and Elliot Cornish-Sheasby- this is the perfect opportunity to taste and learn from the pro.
This session will last two hours, in which you will able to join at any time during 16:00 - 18:00. This ticket will include one bottle of The Umami Bros Japanese style mayonnaise.
