A Special Presentation of naked. open mic series

naked is an open format, open mic night, where ALL forms of art are welcomed to be shared. originally created in New Orleans in February 2018, it is a space for offerings of art + discussion.

those who attend are invited to be naked of the armor + masks they may have to wear when navigating the world, in a space that asks:

if you could be naked, without judgment, how would you show up, what would you say, what would you share?

• Sunset Soundbath + Yoga by Vanessa Augustin + Stephanie Pierre. 4:10pm -4:50pm
• Open mic + facilitated discussion hosted by Cat Dorvilus. 5-6pm
• Intermission. 6-6:15pm
• Feature performance by local artist Hello O’Shay. 6:30-7pm
• Dance party with music by Afro Anarchy. 7-9PM

This special community offering will be hosted indoors at Brooklyn Grange's Sunset Park location, a 3.5 acre farm that offers a full panaromic view of New York Harbor.

naked is also community potluck so please bring something to share if you can. light snacks + refreshments will also be provided by the host.

As a trailblazing yoga and metaphysical teacher, she creates sacred spaces for BIPOC communities to reconnect with ancient practices, reclaim their power, and cultivate holistic well-being.

is a multi-disciplinary artist, curator, community organizer, and dialogic facilitator, working primarily with vulnerability + holistic healing as her mediums, using video, drawing, writing, creating content, and curating space as both her tools + canvas. her mission is to offer art + space that foster + continue self-healing + empowerment in others.

is a Singer-Songwriter, Producer and Musician out of Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. With his soulful vocals, intricate flow and off-kilter production, his sound is unique yet familiar.

is the frequency of the Black transatlantic; a journey through rhythm, soul, and remembrance; a percussive ancestral ceremony drumming your way back home.
