About this Event
This event is co-hosted by All Saints Church, Leam Eco Hub and Jo Harper from Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and Warwickshire Wildlife Network
We warmly invite you to a free screening and post-screening discussion at All Saints Church, Leamington Spa.
The 45-minute PEB film is being shown all over the country. It captures key moments from last November’s National Emergency Briefing, where leading experts in climate science, health, food security, economics, national security and nature laid out the latest evidence on how environmental change is already shaping everyday life in the UK.
You’ll hear how issues such as extreme weather, rising food prices, pressures on health services, infrastructure disruption, and household energy costs are affecting communities across the country and possible solutions to these issues.
We will get chance to hear this information together as a community and share our thoughts and feelings about what we've watched.
The initiative is non-partisan and supported by trusted organisations including the National Trust, the Church of England, WWF, the Royal Meteorological Society, and several UK universities. For businesses and local communities, these challenges are real and increasing. Supply chains insurance, workforce wellbeing, transport reliability, and long-term investment stability are all being affected.
The aim of this event is to bring together people from local communities across the UK to hear the evidence and discuss how to respond.
Reserve your place and join an open, practical discussion about how we can prepare for the future together.
The film lasts 48 minutes and will be followed by a facilitated discussion on local action we can take.
There will be refreshments available.
This film is not suitable for children.
