About this Event
A Solstice Gathering
Come join us for A Solstice Gathering!
The Gathering is an opportunity for riders to come together pre-race, to connect with one another and to strengthen bonds of kinship. We encourage this celebration to familiarise yourselves within the Clan, to make friends and to enjoy one another's company before meeting again, on the start line of the Pan Celtic Ultra 2026 in July.
Of course, you do not need to have signed up to our event to join in with The Solstice Gathering. If you are interested in what we do and wish to experience riding with us over the weekend, then you are more than welcome.
This tradition serves as a vital link between the past and the present, an offering of community and belonging, bridging the cap between events and training.
The Gathering allows us to continue to share stories, to ask questions and to learn from one another before taking on the challenges that lie ahead. This is fundamental to ensuring our community is a safe space and inclusive for all.
We'll meet at Chester's Roman Amphitheatre on Saturday 13th June from 8am, where we will gather, before saddling steeds and rolling out around 9am, crossing the welsh border and riding across some beautiful parts of North Wales and into Deganwy, Conwy, where we'll settle for the evening, rolling out our sleep mats and sleeping bags at The Conwy County Sea Cadets, before the return journey the following day. There will be route files provided for Saturday and Sunday rides from Chester to Conway and back again, and an option to head home sooner should you wish to catch the train back to Chester instead.

As representatives of the Pan Celtic Clan out on public roads, the highway code is expected to be repected at all times, and behaviour should refect the high standards set by good cycling ettiquette to all road users and pedestrains where applicable.
