A Salute to America250Spier Spencer Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution has commissioned a song by renowned choral composer Pepper Choplin for this event to be held June 27, 2026, at Lincoln Amphitheatre beginning at 5:30 p.m. central time. The hour-long event will include posting of the colors by Knox Co. SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) in period costume, singing of the National Anthem, a recitation from Lincoln's second inaugural address by Abraham Lincoln impersonator, Dean Dorrell; a 30 minute choral performance by the Celebration Singers joined by the Southwest Indiana Cantata Choir of familiar patriotic and faith-based songs followed by a debut of the specially commissioned Pepper Choplin song "Thank you for the Blessings". The event will conclude with the return of the Colors and a Benediction. No tickets are required. Those attending this event from start to finish may stay for the regularly scheduled final performance of "Pioneer Song: a Celebration of Lincoln Amphitheatre Musicals" free of charge.
