About this Event
In a polarised world, is there a better way towards reconciliation? Is loving disagreement possible? Is it a means of hope or an idealistic dream, overlooking the seriousness of many conflicts?
How might Christians lead the way in modeling the peace of Christ in our churches and communities, without diminishing the seriousness of many disagreements?
Join Trinity Forum Durham as we welcome author, minister, and former BBC religious affairs correspondent Rev. Dr. Christopher Landau. We anticipate a thought-provoking evening which will model the goal in mind, loving disagreement.

Speaker:
Revd Dr Christopher Landau is the author of A Theology of Disagreement. Before ordination in the Church of England, he was a journalist, latterly the BBC World Service’s religious affairs correspondent. During ministerial training he completed a doctorate in Christian Ethics at the University of Oxford, considering the theological ethics of disagreement in the New Testament. In 2022 a popular-level book, Loving Disagreement: The Problem is the Solution was published, accompanied by the 5-session Unity Course for use by small groups. After ministry in London and Oxford, in 2021 Christopher was appointed director of ReSource, a national charity supporting spiritual renewal in local churches. He is married to Carolyn, and they live with their three children in Telford, Shropshire.
