When you think of Philadelphia – do you think of cheesesteaks and pretzels, the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers? Do you picture the Rocky Statue and Love Park? How about all of this inside our beloved Free Library? The friendly neighborhood chamber choir, PhilHarmonia, is thrilled to celebrate its return to one of their favorite Philadelphia institutions to sing choral settings of literary greats, and songs about our wonderful city. Music includes settings of poems by Walt Whitman, Edgar Allan Poe, e.e.cummings as well as works by Philadelphia composers including John Conahan, Andrew Munn, Melissa Dunphy, Ajibola Rivers AND a special a cappella arrangement of the Action News theme song, as seen on 6abc.
Come enjoy the harmony and “all the feels” on Philly!
This concert is free and open to the public. Registration is optional.
