About this Event
From Lawrence of Arabia at Clouds Hill and Vita Sackville-West at Sissinghurst to the ‘Dancing Marquess’ at Plas Newydd and lesser-known queer communities and scandals, Hall reframes these houses and landscapes as sites of quiet resistance, coded lives, and evolving identities. The evening situates these personal histories within the Trust’s own shifting relationship to queerness, from the shadow of Oscar Wilde to today’s more inclusive reckoning.
