and freedom
About this Event
We are delighted to host a poetry reading with music —an artistic celebration of renewal and freedom. An original artwork by Isabelle Balot will be performed in French. A highlight of the evening will be an ode to Lafayette’s voyage aboard L’Hermione as he sailed to Boston in support of the unfolding Revolution. Isabelle Balot will present a reading of her poems alongside Marilys Duteil and Marc de Maleingreau d’Hembise, with musical accompaniment by the composers Hervé Duteil and Philippe de Harlez de Deulin. Ms. Balot’s work offers vivid and striking pictures of the human condition. Through her humanitarian missions for the United Nations around the world, Ms. Balot has developed an original perspective and a distinctive voice, deeply reflected in her poetry.
This event will be held in French.
