Playback Theater takes stories from the audience members who are invited to share moments, memories, and reflections in response to a theme. The actors skilled in the art of listening play back through improvisation the stories that were shared, creating a collective healing experience. Stories carry memory. Re-Membering carries truth. Witnessing brings healing.

Playback Theater is theater of the heart. It’s about giving. With the help of the conductor, a teller from the audience, gives an outline of a personal story to the actors. The actors' gift is to listen with their hearts to the soul of the story and play back what they hear as the essence. The audience gives the gift of witness to a moment in the teller’s life. We tell our stories to make sense of random events in our life. It’s part of the healing quest for meaning. It’s an opportunity for you to tell your story and see it come to life. It can be about a feeling, a moment in time, or a favorite object. It can be a dream from last night, or a daydream about tomorrow. Playback Theater is Theater of the Heart.

A symbol of peace, love and hope.

A path destined to be a dove's song to set us free and let us be who we were born to be

A Dove's Song, vibrating to me

The soft wind from a dove's wing reminds us of the depths of our passions

Light, airy and ancestral.

To feel the life force of a dove's wing fluttering ready to take flight is to see my life's work appear

before me through a guiding light.

A Dove’s Song was written by R Strongbow to inspire hope and healing.

We invite you to join us for a powerful playback theater experience. In a supportive and beautiful atmosphere, we will use sharing, embodied improvisational performance, and sound healing to elevate voices and create a healing space.

She is a Certified Practitioner of Psychodrama also trained in psychodynamic and relational analysis, DBT and IFS. Olivia Mick is a Tuning Fork Sound Therapy Practitioner, Yoga Instructor and Herbalist. She is also trained in facilitating the use of multi-instruments for private and group sound healings as well as other energy healing modalities. She also provides 1:1 support through realigning the mind, body and soul by reducing stress, trauma and pain using healing frequencies, yoga therapy and herbalism. Her sessions have been described as a full sensory immersive experience.
