The evening of Jan. 10 will be very special, astronomically speaking, because every planet except for Mercury will be visible in the night sky. From 7 to 8 p.m., astronomy enthusiasts CJ Day and Jessica Taylor will be on the lawn outside the Kauffman Museum with their telescopes. Join them for a tour of the solar system!
In the event of cloudy or rainy weather, the event will still be held: In lieu of telescope observation, CJ will present his "tour" inside the museum, featuring spectacular imagery from the Hubble and Webb space telescopes.
Free copies of Humanities Kansas' latest poetry chapbook, "Written in the Stars," will be available at the event. For more info on the chapbooks, click here: https://www.humanitieskansas.org/grants-programs/written-in-the-stars.
