About this Event
Everyone needs some silent time, whether to meditate, pray, think things over, or sit and stare at some candles, but making the time, finding actual silence, and setting up all those candles can be difficult. At this event, we'll do the candles, we'll do the atmosphere, and many of us will shift slightly in our seats if anyone starts making noise -- all you need to do is to make the time!
There will be candles. There will be a comfortably low lighting level. There will be warmth in the winter. There will be hot chocolate. There will be prayer shawls (aka light blankets). It's a potluck, so there will be food (we'll all bring it!) There will be people there to help you if you suddenly decide you want to leave but that it's darker than you were anticipating.
This event is open to everyone. You don't need to have meditation experience. You don't have to be praying to anyone in particular. You don't have to come again. All you have to do is show up.
