About this Event
Welcome to A Night of Light: The Full Spectrum (Vince's first art show)!
Come join us at Verace Italian Restaurant Venue in my hometown of Oakville, Ontario.
Not one part of this artist journey for me has been "normal" so I figured what better place to throw my first art show, at an Italian restaurant in downtown Oakville. I am doing this to honour my late father Joe Luciani who brought people together through his love for food, I am just one-upping him by adding some colourful paintings ;).
I have curated 13 pieces on bigger canvases that yes, are meant to be shown but most importantly intended to be felt. So alongside each piece, I have channeled a small library of 13 guided meditations for you to experience the energies after the show and beyond.
Why is this called a Night of Light you ask?
I believe light isn't just the bright colours, positive energies and "good" emotions, light captures the full spectrum and range of all of these elements. We are no different, our bodies carry all of these energies, even the unfavourabale ones (that's where the real beauty lies).
While making these pieces, I prayed, I screamed, I cried, I danced, I laughed, I punched and destroyed things, most importantly I felt it ALL. My intention for this night is that my art leads you to FEEL your full spectrum just a little deeper.
Anyway, an onlooker once saw some of these pieces and said "well, those definitely aren't boring." I am not sure how many stars that would be, but I hope to hear something similar from you on May 2nd.
Please wear your favourite colour and come as you are! Want to show up, look at the art and not say a word? cool!
Want to show up and dance around the canvas? awesome, just be careful.
All pieces in the collection will be for sale.
Do you love the sound of this but can't make it in person? All good! just purchase the second ticket option and I will e-mail you the meditation library on the event day.
About Vince Luciani:
Embarking on a transformative healing journey after the loss of his father in 2017 and having the world's largest splenic cyst removed in 2019, Vince discovered solace and purpose through creation. With each brushstroke and spray not only did his own wounds begin to mend, but he also realized his art carried the profound ability to facilitate healing in others. Specializing in acrylic and spray paint, his portfolio boasts over 20 commissioned pieces, each resonating with vibrant hues and dynamic energies. He masterfully captures the essence of various energies through faces and symbols infused with the intention to heal. His art serves as a vivid spark to illuminate and restore the human spirit, inviting viewers to venture on their own journeys of healing and self-expression.
