Come enjoy an evening of Celtic music with powerhouse Celtic Fiddler, Kiérah! After more than two decades of hard work, love for tradition, and inspiration from the best, Kiérah has become one of Canada’s most entertaining and talented fiddle players. On April 25th Kiérah will perform a compilation of her original and traditional Celtic tunes collected over the last 25 years, accompanied by stellar guitarist Adam Dobres.

BIO
Kiérah studied classical violin for 13 years, receiving one of the highest marks ever given by the Royal Conservatory of Music on her final exam. However, with an Irish and Scottish heritage, Kiérah’s true passion has always been performing and composing Celtic music.
At 10 years old Kiérah started writing her own music, recording her first album “Irish Madness” in 2007 which received a Canadian Folk Music Award (CFMA) nomination as well as one in 2010 for her album “A Fiddle Affair”. After publishing a book of 66 original tunes at age 16, Kiérah received a scholarship to attend a summer music program at the University of Limerick. Inspired by her experiences in Ireland, Kiérah returned to compose many new tunes and record her third album “Stonemason’s Daughter”, WINNER of a 2013 CFMA!
Kiérah’s latest album, “Strong Bow”, garnered her an International Celtic Artist nomination and rave reviews from international magazines and was featured on RTE - Irelands National TV and Radio Broadcaster.
Today Kiérah is fulfilling her passion through different facets of entertaining. She has developed an educational performance called “Celtic Traditions Across Canada” which she has presented to over 450 schools, inspiring students and giving them an opportunity to learn about and listen to 8 different styles of Celtic music.
