Saturday May 10th 2025 Operaen is presenting a night with some of Copenhagens most pioneering bands - Casquette, Bitter Honey & The Tree House Colours. Following on from the rock island review night at Råhuset in Marts 2024 the three bands aim for a buzzing atmosphere for all kinds of rock fans, dancing - moshing - or gently swaying - it’s all good. Sounds between the bands will be supplied by a guest DJ playing rock n roll, soul and psychedelic classics.

Doors will open at 20:30. Entry 80kr.

The Tree House Colours open the night with experimental rhythms and timing, loud melodic vocals and distorted guitar sound. They continue to develop songs for their second LP where their output focuses on political change for a fairer society - and the joy of being alive. Tree House Colours comprise experimental drummer Røskva Neumann, guitar virtuoso Jacob Speake, rebellious beatpoet Mat Garner and bassmaster Janek Romaniszyn. They are joined on stage for live performances by collaborators like Savannah Weaver and Roxy Le Tux. Live performances are a blizzard of beats, riffs, melodies and bass. They give everything to rock out!!
BITTER HONEY are a dynamic, Copenhagen based rock band. Their line-up is :- Einar Jónsson (Iceland) on bass, Martin Christensen (Denmark) on drums, Johannes Bjerrum (Denmark) on keyboards, Christian Worm (Denmark) on guitar, and Alan Slim (England) on vocals. They formed in 2023, and have been very busy since, writing and building a repertoire of songs, practicing, developing their live act, playing numerous gigs, and recording. The focal point of the band is on writing quality, well-crafted songs, with good melodies and arrangements, and poetic, meaningful lyrics. They are also an energetic and passionate live act. Their style is difficult to define, but they combine elements of rock, psychedelia, punk, country, and indie. They have recently released a single – ‘Whose Eyes Are These?’ and are in the process of recording their debut album, which will be released in the near future. - Go to see them - listen to them - you will not be disappointed.
