About this Event
This project will feature a choral cycle for SATB chorus and cello with poetry by linguist, poet, aphasia, and stroke-survivor Farzana Marie.
From the composer:
"This project – which will be premiered and recorded by Nightingale Vocal Ensemble, centers on Farzana’s poetry, and on the universal experience of transformation. It’s about how we keep going when our lives are suddenly ripped apart, changed, shattered, and ultimately - transformed - by something so much bigger than we ever thought we could survive.”
Rounding out the program are a world premiere by Andrew List and works by Melissa Dunphy, Katerina Gimon, and Joan Szymko.
Street parking around Boylston exists, but garages abound. Please arrive early enough to settle into the space before we start the music at 6pm!
