PRiME Advanced:A neuro-affirmative approach for learners

Description:

Would you like to learn skills to work better with all different types of people, including those who think differently from you?

15 % or more of the population is neurodivergent and that number is likely to increase with more awareness and diagnostic services. This workshop will explore different types of cognitive processing, give the opportunity to reflect on how to support learners in your context, and explore how to apply reasonable adjustments. There will be time explore resources and signposting for support.

The aims of this session are to:

· Discuss useful hints and tips on working with different types of cognitive processing

· Reflect on how to support those who share they are neurodivergent or who seem to have neurodivergent traits

· Apply reasonable adjustments in the context of a case study using your own clinical area as the setting.

· Identified tools for inclusivity in the learning environment and signposting for further support.

There are 3 CPD points for this workshop applied for through the Royal College of Physicians.

Please note that these sessions are held Face:Face at the location as specified

*Parking - visitor parking at Salford Royal Hospital is located on the main hospital site offering spaces on the Central Car Park (accessed off Eccles Old Road) and further spaces on the North Car Park (accessed off Stott Lane).
