You're invited on a discovery tour filled with tasty apps, cocktails, a special art release, and mid-mod Disney!
All aboard! Scooter, Colorado’s own mid-century modern artist, is ready to take you on a discovery tour of how the mid-century modern movement influenced Walt Disney’s movies, parks and artists in the 1950’s and 60’s.
Don't miss this fun-filled evening of drinks, Disney, meeting the artist, and a new art release at the historical Forney Museum of Transportation.
Scooter will share stories that will inspire and encourage you to go after those moments in time that can change the rest of your life!
Saturday, 6pm-8pm: Artist Release Party
-Mix and mingle with mid-century enthusiasts, art, and Disney-lovers alike!
-Learn about how Disney movies, parks, and artists were influenced by the mid-mod movement.
-Scooter will share a bit of history with us, as a former animator for Walt Disney Feature Animation Studios.
-Nibble on tasty appetizers and indulge in a mid-mod era beverage at our cash bar. (Cash bar proceeds benefit the Forney Museum of Transportation.)
-Scooter's fun and playful paintings and illustrations celebrate the style of the past and give life to a modern-day retro style of all the things he loves most.

Special Notes:
Scooter and his wife Chrysti partner with an amazing organization called Acres of Love, where their mission is to rescue and care for AIDS Orphans and those with special needs in South Africa. Whenever you add Scooter's art or merchandise to your collection, a portion goes to Acres of Love.
About the Artist:
Scott “Scooter” Burroughs is a painter, illustrator and designer working in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Scooter worked 10 years for Disney as an animator on movies and mentor for new artists. His credits include: Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor’s New Groove, Lilo And Stitch, Brother Bear and several shorts. When the Florida animation studio closed its doors, nearly 20 years ago, he moved back to Colorado and began a career in illustration, fine art painting and design.
