We are starting a book club!! The New Romantics will be here at the milk district with their new book truck “Poppy”. Come and buy the book we will be reading, “Legendborn” or you can preorder it! The first official meeting to talk about the book will be February 26th at Milk. Our book club will rotate A La Cart locations each time we meet. We plan to have a different host each time, so the genre of book will always be changing. We want to be a safe place that everyone feels welcome and have a taste for everyone. You also do not have to be finished with the book to come to the meetings.
Legendborn by Tracy Deonn is a young adult fantasy novel that reimagines the Arthurian legend through a modern lens, focusing on a Black teenage girl, Bree Matthews, who discovers a secret society of magic users descended from King Arthur's knights while investigating her mother's death.
