MALIK Fraternity, Inc. is a collegiate and professional fraternity founded on May 13th, 1977, at C. W. Post Long Island University by fifteen (15) dedicated and highly motivated collegiate young men. MALIK as an acronym stands for Manhood, Achievement, Leadership, Integrity, and Knowledge, and to the members of the organization these are known as our "Five Keys". Fraternally, we practice the concept of African Fraternalism, which in short, signifies "wanting for my brother what I want for myself". Indicating that the goodwill, success, prosperity, and well-being that one would desire for oneself would be the same that one would desire for one's fraternal brother. Ideologically, we believe in the African contribution to Western civilization, as well as the African and Latino connection, which is based on historical ties and the influence Africa has had on Central and South America.
