You are invited to a journey through Ecstatic Dance & Tea Ceremony/Pairing — a co-created space of movement, music, ancient ritual and sensory exploration with DJ Leela and Leila (Way of Remembering).
Join us on a Sunday afternoon (April 12 15:00–17:00 CET) to gather in presence, awaken your body, and journey through sound, rhythm, and taste. This is a space to move freely, to express, to release what no longer serves you, and to soften back into connection — with yourself and with others.
This special edition introduces a Tea Journey woven into the experience. We will begin with a gentle, meditative tea ceremony (rooted from ancient China) to open the senses and invite you into deeper presence. As the dance unfolds, a live tea corner will be available — offering freshly prepared teas live, intuitively paired with the music, the energy, and the evolving atmosphere of the space.
Then we flow into ecstatic dance — where music, movement, and creative expression merge. You are welcome to let your body move, your voice sound, or even your words emerge — dancing like no one is watching, or enjoy somem moments of stillness and introspection.
You are invited to engage not only through movement, but through all your senses — to taste, to feel, to play. Let the tea and water become part of your journey and flow: a moment to pause, to connect, to explore subtle sensations, and to bring a layer of sensuality and curiosity into your dance.
After the journey, we warmly invite you to stay for a community potluck-style sharing, a space to land, connect, and integrate with like-hearted souls.
WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?
It is a form of free-style dance that emphasises free movement and authentic expressions, often accompanied by music and sounds that create different waves of a journey. It is a contemporary practice that has evolved over time, drawing on elements of various cultural and spiritual traditions. "The fastest, cleanest, most joyful way to break out of your own box is by dancing." "If you don't do your dance, who will?"
PRACTICALS:
Exchange: Donation-based, limited max 30 spots - everyone is welcome, then feel free to donate after via pin or cash. Please respect the value of each donation-based ticket as a regular ticket, if you need to cancel please let us know asap so we can give the spot to someone else.

To bring: your own drinks (no alcohol) and any snacks or food you like for yourself and/or to share, any instruments to co-create. Musicians are welcome to join for jamming!
The exact location (west of Amsterdam) will be updated a few days before the event, and also in a welcome email to all participants.
WHO ARE WE?
DJ Leela and Leila are a team in the conscious spaces. It seems no coincidence that they met at an event where Awareness & Exploration were the main ingredients. Both names are derived from Sanskrit as “In our daily experience, embracing the dance of life with a hint of playfulness, including the waves of bright & dark matters and sunshine & rain…” They feel privileged to weave their creativity, gifts and lived experiences into offering their music and arts to you.
They have traveled to 30+ countries, facilitated 70+ Ecstatic Arts and Dance Journeys with different themes, and co-created 120+ pieces of powerful artworks with 3K+ participants during Ecstatic Arts & Dance journeys during the last 4 years. Those artworks are uniquely beautiful, touching and priceless with real people and stories behind, and they can never be duplicated. We believe this is the true value of art. To be remembered and passed around as positive vibration.
