Time to brush off your coloring skills for the GAM’s first-ever interactive art exhibit!We are invited our community of military and aviation history lovers to interact with the stars of our air park in a whole new way with “A is for Aeroplane.” Fourteen of our aircraft will be converted into large-scale line drawings that will be on display in our main hallway that will be available for guests to color in during their next visit to the museum. We provide the supplies; you provide the inspiration! To ensure our youngest aviation lovers have a chance to participate, special toddler-friendly posters will be available child-height so they can participate, too!
After the interactive period ends in August, the posters will remain on display through the end of the year so that all guests have a chance to see how a community came together to create something magical!
The aircraft chosen for the exhibit will be selected via public vote between February and May, with the final roster announced shortly afterwards. “A is for Aeroplane” will open on June 1st and the interactive portion will run through August 31st. All exhibits are free with paid admission to the museum and during the summer, the museum is open 7 days a week.
