NOTE + ANNOUNCEMENT: We are going to try something different here. We love transparency and raw honesty. It's our thing. So, we are going to reflect that to you up front in the most human to human way we can.

The decision maker and person that writes everything you read, posts everything you see, makes every decision about each part of the brand and parties is Matthew (me). My personal artist/music moniker is . I spend hours a day searching for music from all over the world that I love and the rest of my time I am working on this project. It's what I love and believe in. I've sacrificed... more than you would believe to pursue this over the years.

So, with every piece of the puzzle of why I think you should come hang out and party with us, I am going to tell you my raw and honest thoughts of each artist I am booking, why I am booking them, and why I think you should come hang out and party with them.

This is not the normal in this industry of smoke in mirrors... fuck that normal, it sucks.

Inside in the Lounge

• 5 - The young bucks creating a music and art platform. These guys are building something beautiful and are constantly growing as people and as artists.

• 8 - Up and coming Los Angeles DJ flying into town just to party with us. Zini is a sweet guy with a fantastic taste in music, all of the good vibes, and when he stumbled upon our project online he said he had to come experience it for himself, so we made it happen.
• 9 - Incredible and diverse music taste gained from thousands of hours of quality club time and music searching. Johan is a friend of mine that I always am happy to see and potentially has my favorite musical taste of any house/techno DJ in North Carolina.
• 11 - The Funk House Extraordinaire. Y'all have no idea how great Robb's taste in house music is. His set is going to be incredible. Severely underrated local DJ. He plays track after track of absolute funk dance house heat.
• 1 - The sweetest of sweet, organic house + techno queen. Ashley is wonderful to be around, talk to, work with, involve, and she has a brilliant taste in music that is only going to expand. There are plenty of reasons why she is well respected across the entire local house + techno community.

Outside in the Tree House

• 7 - An incredibly sweet guy that moved to Durham recently from LA. He has over 20 years of DJ experience at burns & underground parties in many a places. He considers himself a dance music historian and all of his peers would agree with that assessment. I cannot stress enough how sweet of a human Funguy is. Whenever he is playing music, you can know it's coming from a beautiful place.
• 8 - The single most interesting person I have ever met and I've lived with her for over 5 years. She is my best friend and is so incredibly talented it is bewildering. Nicolette's most recent form of impressive talent is to DJ and live paint AT THE SAME TIME. Nuts. Her music taste is constantly evolving and it is gorgeous and she is a bouncy bubbly giggly human basically 24 hours a day. It is a privilege for anyone to experience her expressing through whatever medium that may be.
• 10 - Me. I care deeply about what I do and have been deep diving for music from all over the world for over 15 years, a decade before I began to DJ or make my own music. I do not compromise or people please and that reflects into my DJ sets. Everything I do is in my best attempt at being exposed to, experiencing, and sharing the most beautiful sounds, sights, and moments that I can.

? Live Painting + art by:

• - Multi talented pianist, live painter, and more. From diving into her instagram and speaking with her, she is all in on expression, her mediums, and artsy environments.
• - CB has been involved with for years now. Raund Haus is an artist collective and record label based in Durham that works with and releases music by super talented music producers. They have a TON of brilliant music released on their label. CB personally, has a deep body of work and unique art style that bleeds through every piece he creates.
• - Molly is incredibly sweet, efficient at what she does, and super talented. She might possibly really understand what we are trying to do with Between2Clouds and the potential of the project. She's pleasant to be around, easy to be inspired by, and is her own universe. Wander through her website a bit.

Some improvements from the last party.

• There was a guy that lit up a cigarette in the middle of the dance floor outside. I personally told him that in the future, to leave the property and smoke away from people. He lit up another cigarette when I left. I was in too good of a mood to handle that situation properly, which would have been to kick him out and make it clear how messed up that is. Nobody should have to inhale cigarette smoke if they didn't make the poor decision to smoke it. We are going to strictly ban cigarette smoking on the property during the party due to this with no exceptions. If you are told once about this rule and continue to do so after, you will be permanently banned from our events. If someone wants to smoke they will need to go 30-40+ feet away from the venue to do so. Smoking around somebody that does not smoke is equivalent to throwing poison in their face. It is of general understanding that second hand smoke hurts people and can cause cancer and it is time to start respecting other people's health. At minimum, that will happen at our events. You are absolutely still welcome at our party if you smoke anything of any sort and we encourage you to do what you need to to feel good away from others, but we just need you to do so in a way that does not harm others. If anyone can smell smoke at the party, with any kind of substance in it, that means you are too close.
• We are moving the inside dance party to the room behind the igloo room. While the igloo room is a lot of fun, it gets insanely hot in there, the risk to equipment is high, and it can be overwhelming to experience the music. This will overall be an improvement to the event and it opens up the igloo room for us to curate a really cool social and visual experience!
• Adding more live painters and visual artists
• Adding more staff + help to make the event even smoother
• We will have an information & merch set up in the bus, so you can learn about what we do, know how to follow and find out about our parties and curations, and buy some merch to remember the night by. We usually have headbands available. If you need anything that doesn't require security, this is the place to go.
• The event is moving to Saturday as opposed to Friday. This gives everyone the ability to rest after a week of work and really prepare to come and experience the event fully. It also makes it to where if you want to party earlier, from let's say 5 to 10pm and still go to sleep at a normal time, you can do that and have a full experience. The music will evolve throughout the night, with daytime having a more airy pretty vibe, sunset having its own vibe, and night getting into it. This makes the event EVEN MORE diverse for a variety of different types of people to come experience the parts that interest them. This gives more opportunities to deserving artists and if you can't get enough of our events, now you have an extra 3 hours to experience it. Everyone wins.
• The card reader died early on while there were 50+ people in line wanting to get in. That sucked. It made the process of getting into the event much more inconvenient. We will make sure that is not a problem that occurs at the next event and that the process of getting in much smoother. Something I highly recommend is always purchasing a ticket online before the event, because that is going to make the experience of getting everyone in much more convenient for you and everyone else. Cash at the door is also a smooth and quick process.
• For whatever reason we never turned the hazer or laser on inside, we will turn it on this time.
