A Happy In Your Heart Day Book Release

A-Happy-in-Your-Heart-Day, a new children’s book and turnkey social-emotional learning (SEL) program, will be officially launched on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 PM at the Hammonton Family Success Center.

A-Happy-in-Your-Heart-Day is more than a children’s story, it is a story-centered social-emotional learning experience that helps children recognize emotions, respond with kindness, and repair difficult moments through creative action. The heartwarming story follows Alex, a boy who doesn’t get everything right but always chooses kindness. As small mistakes turn into big feelings, Alex learns that compassion and empathy can brighten even the hardest days, for himself and for others who need it most.

Designed for both the classroom and family settings, A-Happy-in-Your-Heart-Day combines read-aloud storytelling, guided discussion, and hands-on art activities that reinforce empathy, perspective-taking, and positive decision-making. Participants create heart-based art projects that symbolize encouragement and emotional repair, transforming abstract SEL concepts into tangible, memorable experiences children can carry with them beyond the page. By connecting literacy, social-emotional learning, and arts education, A-Happy-in-Your-Heart-Day supports wellness and learning goals while giving children practical tools to help themselves and others have better days.

The book launch event will feature live readings, creative art activities for children and families, a book signing, and light refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.
