A Grinchy Christmas at the Village invites you into a twinkling winter wonderland at Ancient Lore Village — where holiday magic, mischief, and family fun come together for a festive movie night under the stars! If you are searching for memorable things to do in Knoxville during the Christmas season, this whimsical evening at the Village offers a cozy and joyful way to gather before the holidays.As you arrive, the Village glows with white lights, woodland décor, and storybook scenery that feels straight out of Whoville. Cheerful Villagers welcome you into the magic as you explore the grounds, soak in the holiday atmosphere, and settle in for an evening filled with laughter and cheer.
Before the movie begins, guests are invited to enjoy festive holiday activities throughout the Village. A Whoville cookie-decorating station allows guests to create sweet treats to enjoy during the film. The Grinchy Green Hot Cocoa Bar offers a playful seasonal drink topped with whipped cream, candy canes, and sprinkles. And... keep an eye out for a meet 'n greet with the Grinch, himself, as he wanders the Village, sneaks candy canes, and makes surprise appearances for photos before the movie begins!
When it is time for the feature presentation, guests will gather beneath the fairy lights in the Pavilion at the Village Gardens. Heaters will keep the space warm + blankets are encouraged for extra coziness... especially for little ones. Seating is arranged at round tables of eight in this climate-controlled outdoor venue with chairs that can be turned for the best view of the oversized screen. Each seat includes a Grinch Snack Pack with popcorn and candy canes to make movie night even sweeter.
