Our dear friend is facing one of the toughest battles of his life.If you know him, you know his heart. He’s the kind of person who shows up without being asked, who puts others first, and who carries himself with a quiet kindness that never seeks recognition. He’s a caretaker in every sense of the word.
Recently, he was diagnosed with throat cancer. In the weeks ahead, he’ll begin daily treatments that will last for several months. During that time, he won’t be able to work, and he’ll need to stay away from home for extended periods to receive care.
To make things even harder, he had just started a new job and learned he was only days short of qualifying for short-term disability and FMLA benefits. Like many of us, he still has everyday financial responsibilities, along with the added costs that come with ongoing medical treatment.
Right now, he needs the same support he has always given so freely to others.
On Saturday, June 20th we will be having a day to help support Brent. We will have music all day long, food, basket raffles and 50/50's. We are asking a $10.00 donation at the door. Music will start at 1:00 and go through-out the day. We will have the full music line-up in the near future.
