Session plan:

11.00 -11.30 - reception, tea & biscuits, short mindful practice or sharing circle

11.30 - 13.00 - gardening or making arts & crafts

13.00 - 13.30 - lunch break

13.30-14.45 - activities continue

14.45 - 15.00 - closing session circle

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Garden activities: growing organic food, plant propagation, plant care, harvesting, culinary and medicinal plant use, nature connection through senses

Arts & Crafts: creative activities with natural materials such as leaf prints, weaving, natural dyes, clay molding, eco printing

Mindfulness: qi-gong elements practice, journalling, meditation, sharing circles, seasonal celebrations

Community meals: communally prepared and shared meals from garden grown produce and donated food.
Tea, fruits, snacks and light lunch provided.

WHO IS IT FOR:

We offer this program to Hackney residents of different ages and mixed backgrounds with restricted access to green spaces, those who are faced with challenges in their life due to various reasons that left them isolated, negatively affecting their mental health.
These sessions are inclusive and slow paced.

Engage in meaningful occupation in a safeguarded place surrounded by plants.

-learn horticultural skills

-participate in creative art workshops, producing very own pieces of art to take home or gift to someone

-evolve healthy habits through being active and access to fresh garden produce

-reinforce well being,

-reduce feelings of isolation or exclusion;

-form new relationships (with people and environment),

-spark interest and activate learning,

-develop a sense of belonging
