एक मुट्ठी आसमान (A Fistful of Sky) is a major exhibition by Subodh Gupta, curated by Clare Lilley, and presented at the Art House, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Spanning four floors, it brings together significant works from across Gupta’s career alongside new installations created especially for this presentation.
At the heart of Gupta’s practice is a deep engagement with the everyday. Using materials such as stainless-steel utensils and found objects, he transforms the familiar into works that are both monumental and intimate, carrying stories of home, labour, migration, and aspiration.
The exhibition unfolds through the building as a series of distinct experiences, with each floor responding to the architecture and scale of the space. Several works are being shown in India for the first time, alongside a newly commissioned installation that anchors the exhibition in the present.
Both expansive and deeply personal, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience Gupta’s work, inviting reflection on the ordinary materials that shape our lives.
