During lockdown I decided to take on the challenge to find a ‘first’ or ‘quirky’ woman to represent or have a connection with each of the 32 London Boroughs – as you can image this was quite a challenge. After a few struggles I just about achieved my goal, finding a woman for each borough with a few extra alternative women just for good measure! The diversity of my research as always has been incredible from scientists, museum curators, pop stars, sports personalities and politicians. Some very quirky ones as you can imagine!!!

At end of the talk I am happy to stay online for a chat and discussion about my choice of women and also open to ideas of women you think I should have included. Note this will be the first time I have hosted this as a complete virtual tour – so timing is approximate. I expected it to be about 1 hour or 1 hour 15 mins plus option chat time at the end.

I have since given this talk to a few history societies and it has been very well received. I do hope you will be able to join me – virtually of course! As we embrace the success and achievements of some incredible women.
