Kick off the holiday season with a unique, local twist to the traditional Nutcracker story. Journey with Clara and Fritz as they frolic in the streets of downtown Fairhope with their friends and family. Uncle Drosselmeyer brings life sized ballerina and soldier dolls to entertain everyone and then presents Clara with a special gift of a Nutcracker doll. After the festivities, Clara falls asleep with visions of sugarplums dancing in her dreams. At the stroke of midnight she awakes to find the Nutcracker leading his army of toy soldiers in a Dance Battle against the Mouse Queen. The noble Nutcracker prevails and leads Clara on an adventure through the mist of Mobile Bay. Angels guide their way to the magical Land of Sweets where they are celebrated by the Sugarplum Fairy and delighted by treats from far off lands.
