Join us for A Doggone Christmas on Saturday, December 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.!🐶
Visit the information tent located beside the courthouse for more details. The first 200 people will receive a free original Christmas JBO pet bandana. A Local Business Paw Print will be on the doors of pet-friendly stores, offering a free pet treat.
NEW THIS YEAR! Bring a pet donation and get a handmade dog treat and an entry into a pet-themed raffle basket valued at $500! Celebrate the season of giving by supporting our furry friends at the Appalachian Highlands Humane Society.
There will be a Costume Contest sponsored by Appalachian Highlands Humane Society and Tennessee Tails Pet Boutique at 1:00 p.m., with prizes in both large breed and small breed categories, including the Ugliest Christmas Dog Sweater, Best Holiday Costume, and Pet/Owner Lookalike. No prior registration is necessary. After the contest, pets and owners can join in the Pet Parade down Main Street.
Owners are encouraged to bring their pets for pictures with Santa in his sleigh beside the Washington County Courthouse. Donations will be accepted by the Appalachian Highlands Humane Society for photos with Santa.
Stop in our Christmas Marketplace and shop for all handmade holiday gifts with an emphasis on pet-themed items from local artisans. Additionally, enjoy free gift wrapping from Cindy Lees inside the International Storytelling Gift Shop on all purchases.
Enjoy delicious food and sweets from local food trucks on the west side of the Courthouse, and don’t forget to support our downtown restaurants, including Main Street Café, Jackson’s Prime, Opossum’s Tale, Buzzed Wings, and Boone Street Market.
Stop by the Jonesborough Paws in Blue tent and purchase a hot drink. All proceeds will go to Jonesborough Paws in Blue, which aims to raise funds to obtain additional K9s and their support.
Santa’s Mailbox is located by the Courthouse, where children can drop off their letters to Santa. Letters dropped off by December 17 that include a return address will receive a reply from Santa by Christmas.
