Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 13 for our second annual Day of Joy! This is an extra special day at Upstart & Crow to benefit , which offers fun literacy programs for under-resourced kids and youth in Vancouver, and volunteer opportunities for awesome people who want to see kids thrive.
Come down and meet the team, see the amazing work of some writerly kids and youth, and generally party with us. And if you donate to the Writers’ Exchange on site, we will give you 20% off your book purchase AND a free cookie, while supplies last!

About Upstart & Crow:
Located on Granville Island, Upstart & Crow is a not-for-profit literary arts studio for curious readers and creative storytellers alike. We are international in our outlook, and local in our sensibilities. We create opportunities to surface new talent and champion bold ideas through events, workshops, literary launches, unique partnerships — and yes, we also sell books!

The main studio of our shop is accessible for folks with mobility aids. There is a washroom on the main floor available for attendees. As part of disability justice and community care for the chronically ill, vulnerable and elderly, we ask that you refrain from attending if you feel sick.
