About this Event
This session is designed to explore how SIBARIST filter technology influences coffee extraction and sensory perception. Through a guided comparison, attendees will experience firsthand how different filters can impact the final cup, even when all other brewing variables remain constant.
The session begins with a short presentation introducing the importance of filter choice in brewing and an overview of Sibarist’s FAST and B3 technologies.
Participants will then take part in two sensory experiences using different coffee profiles (washed and natural sun dried). In each exercise, two brews of the same coffee will be prepared using identical parameters—grind size, recipe, and technique—while varying only the filter type. This controlled approach allows attendees to isolate and better understand the sensory impact of the filter.
Each brewing will be followed by a cupping, where participants will evaluate both cups side by side, focusing on differences in clarity, body, sweetness, and overall expression. Open discussion will encourage attendees to share their observations and insights.
The session will conclude with key takeaways and an open Q&A.
