Presented in partnership with the American Federation of the Arts, this lecture will critically examine historical and present-day examples of monuments in the United States. It complements the exhibition Monuments and Myths: The America of Sculptors Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Daniel Chester French, traveling with the AFA through 2025. Andrew Eschelbacher, PhD, the lead curator on Monuments and Myths, will moderate the panel discussion.
