A Conversation with Journalist, Author and Podcast Host Mandy MatneyJoin the College of Charleston's Department of Sociology and Anthropology for a conversation with journalist, author and podcast host, Mandy Matney, who will discuss the overnight success of her podcast, The Murdaugh Murders, and her upcoming book, Blood on Their Hands. The event will take place at 4 p.m. on October 26, 2023 in the Rita Liddy Hollings Science Center, room 101.
Mandy Matney's highly anticipated book, Blood On Their Hands, will be released on November 14, 2023. In this compelling work of investigative journalism, she exposes a network of horrific crimes perpetrated by Alex Murdaugh and others. The book acts as an excoriation of the "good ole boy" systems that enabled this network of criminals to operate. Through her relentless pursuit of truth, Matney delivers a captivating narrative that continues to unfold.
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about navigating ethical challenges in journalism and telling a compelling story.
