About this Event
Join us for an inspiring, creative community workshop designed for youth ages 6–10 who are ready to reimagine their neighborhoods and grow something beautiful together!
This event will begin with a special live reading of the picture book A City Dream by its author, B. Sharise Moore. Hearing the story firsthand sets the tone for the day, inspiring youth to think boldly about what their communities can become and how their voices matter in shaping that future. Held in congruence with the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office Spring Clean Up Initiative, this interactive workshop connects imagination with real community action. We hope to encourages young people to see themselves as active participants in building a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant Baltimore. Following the reading, participants will rotate through engaging, hands-on “Dream Stations” designed to spark creativity, teamwork, environmental stewardship, and civic pride. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave empowered, knowing that with imagination, collaboration, and action, every community can grow into the city of its dreams. Spots are limited, so we encourage families to sign up early to take part in this unique experience that brings together creativity, literacy, and civic engagement.
