Usher in the spirit of the season by participating in the Library's first public community reading of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol!We will read the entire story from start to finish in the theater at the CNY Arts Center on Saturday, December 13, 2025, starting at 1 pm. All are invited and encouraged to attend—individuals, families, book clubs, and groups—and participate by reading a portion of the book. All reading levels are welcomed!
We are asking for those that sign up to commit to being at the theater ten minutes prior to the start of their reading slot and to remain for the full thirty minutes that they are signed up (and hopefully for longer). We will assign 3 readers per slot and each reader will read 7-10 pages (or approximately 10 minutes) as well as listen to others. Family and friends are encouraged to come see you read and holiday refreshments will be served. Festive attire encouraged, but not required.
