About this Event
Join us for the inaugural A Christie for Christmas event to celebrate all things Agatha Christie!
We are delighted to introduce you to A Christie for Christmas – a night where we will celebrate the legacy of Agatha Christie and the publication of the gorgeous And Then There Were None mystery edition. For the first time ever, this unique edition of Agatha Christie's masterpiece presents her story in a format that is entirely faithful to her original conception, with the final solution presented in a sealed envelope that can only be revealed once you have finished the story.
An array of beloved crime authors will gather for a night of fun at the top of the tower in The News Building, London Bridge. Enjoy spectacular views of the city, fascinating panel discussions, exclusive merchandise, signed copies and a complimentary drink. As we approach the festive season, we invite you to adopt Golden Age black tie for the evening so we can truly immerse ourselves into the life of Agatha Christie.
The event will be hosted by our very own expert in Agatha Christie, David Brawn, who will kick off the evening. There will be puzzles and quizzes to take part in throughout the evening, and of course the opportunity to win exclusive prizes!
To kick off the evening, Sunday Times bestselling author, Bella Mackie will be discussing how Agatha Christie inspired How To K*ll Your Family and What A Way To Go.
THE BESTSELLING CRIME NOVEL OF ALL TIME: AND THEN THERE WERE NONE – Our first panel of the evening will see crime fiction powerhouses Jane Casey, Suk Pannu and Vaseem Khan discuss their love of Agatha Christie and the bestselling crime novel of all time, And Then There Were None. Leading the discussion will be journalist and broadcaster (and Agatha Christie fanatic), Jeremy Vine, whose first crime fiction novel, M**der On Line One, publishes in April 2025.
THE INFLUENCE OF CHRISTIE ON CONTEMPORARY CRIME FICTION – Our second panel will see Christie experts and bestselling authors Mark Aldridge, Sophie Hannah and Lucy Foley chat about the influence of Agatha Christie on contemporary crime-writing. Jeremy Vine will chair this panel and share his insight on the lasting legacy of Agatha Christie.
The evening will be rounded off by an opportunity to chat with our fantastic panellists, plus a chance to bag exclusive early proofs for some of the most anticipated upcoming crime novels.
Books will be available to purchase on the evening from our partnering bookstore.
