About this Event
Struggling, out of work actor Will Sterling made a feature film entirely on his cell phone about a fictional version of himself, a similarly struggling, out of work actor making a movie on his cell phone about a struggling, out of work actor making a movie on his cell phone.
The result is "A Cell Phone Movie," a $20k micro-budget meta-comedy that's just as chaotic as it is self aware. Nominated for best debut at Raindance, it blurs the lines between reality and fiction as it explores artistic obsession, failing on purpose, and refusing to give up on a dream. The screening includes a live introduction by Sterling and a post film talk that's part stand-up comedy, part motivational shove to inspire you to get out there and make the d*mn thing!
