About this Event
A Celebration of Life and Legacy: Budd Carr & Joel Sill
Please join friends, family, and colleagues from across the music and film communities as we come together to celebrate the extraordinary lives and legacies of Budd Carr and Joel Sill — two beloved figures whose vision, mentorship, and artistry helped shape the soundtracks of our lives.
The film and music industries recently lost two of their true pioneers — tireless champions who rolled up their sleeves and made things happen. Through sheer dedication, taste, and a deep love of music and the people who make and support music, Budd and Joel helped turn film music supervision into a respected and essential part of the creative process.
Beyond their professional accomplishments, both men were deeply committed to philanthropy and community. Budd served on the boards of City of Hope, The Recording Academy and the advisory board of California State University Entertainment Studies Program, Unite With Ukraine and he championed the music-therapy initiative 911 At Ease. Joel was a longtime supporter of Shelter Hope Pet Shop and served as an ambassador for AltaSea, advocating for animal welfare and ocean preservation. Their generosity of spirit extended far beyond the studio, leaving an indelible mark on everyone they touched.
This gathering is open to all who knew and loved Budd and Joel — a chance to reconnect, remember, and celebrate their creative spirits in the way they would have wanted: through stories, laughter, and song.
Please RSVP here so we can count you among the many people who wish to celebrate Budd and Joel!
