May 17th has been declared a National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving. This day of rededication honors the historic 1776 congressional response—a time when our founders called for a nation of prayer, fasting, and humiliation before the Almighty. This rededication is not merely a ceremony, It’s about remembering as a nation the work of our sovereign Lord in our foundational beginnings and throughout our 250 year history. Uniting the church, believers who place their faith in the one true King, the mighty work He accomplished through His death on the cross, and more importantly His resurrection.
Our town has deep roots. Churches that have stood for generations. Families who built this place with grit and prayer. If there was ever a time to pause and recommit ourselves to prayer and repentance —it’s now.
Not as a political movement.
Not as a protest.
But as a rededication.
If Frankfort chooses to participate, it could look simple:
• Local churches opening doors for prayer and worship
• Families praying at home
• Community leaders publicly standing for faith in Christ
• A voluntary gathering in a park or church
This is an invitation to recognize the work God is already doing and join Him. Historically, when communities humble themselves before God, healing follows.
Scripture makes that clear in 2 Chronicles 7:14 — humility, prayer, repentance, and turning from wicked ways precede restoration.
If we want spiritual revival it starts in the individual heart.
