About this Event
BROADWATER - MAIN STAGE
Two queers, raised by evangelicals, unite to share a cross-pollinating story of want, permission, transformation, and surrender.
Think of this experience as if a TedTalk had a queer baby with a living room concert (like SoFar Sounds).
This is the first recording of a new A Boy Named Barbara podcast called Monologue. The afternoon will also include an intimate acoustic concert from Hannah Rooth and her new band, highly sensitive gays.
It’s a cozy afternoon with a family-sized guest list, so you’ll really be part of the experience.
WHAT TO KNOW
Wear socks. When you arrive, you’ll place your shoes on stage and enjoy the show in your socks. It’s about comfort, and we’ll be on the same page. Come before 1:45. The music starts at 2pm. It will end at 4pm but plan to stay until 5:30pm, if you can.
THE AFTER EXPERIENCE
In response to what’s happening in the world, after the podcast and concert, we’ll be filming a meditation-style music video for Barbara’s new single. We will stand in a dark room holding the light. All you need to do is hold a light. The shoot will take about an hour, and it will be an unforgettable moment. It will be complete by 5:30pm
Space is limited, so please RSVP. We can’t wait to create this experience together.
