โ Astronomy Olympiad (J, S, HS): Regarded as the crown jewel of NESS, this segment tests your grip on the vast cosmos. Participants are challenged to solve rigorous Astronomy problems. It provides a premier opportunity to test your astronomical proficiency and prove your worth by solving problems ranging from basic celestial mechanics to advanced astrophysics.
โ Earth Science Olympiad (J, S, HS): This segment moves away from dry classroom theories to focus on decoding real-life geological and atmospheric phenomena. It explores the intricate relationship between Earth's natural processes and the environment. Participants must demonstrate a deep understanding of how the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere shape our world.
โ Biology Olympiad (J, S, HS): Dive into the "symphony of life" by exploring everything from the intricate dance of DNA to the complex behaviors of the animal kingdom. This Olympiad tests your knowledge of the biological building blocks that sustain life on Earth. Expect a rigorous academic challenge covering genetics, ecology, and the diverse kingdoms of life.

๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ:
โ Father Timm Memorial Biology Quest (S, HS): A high-intensity tribute to the legendary Fr. Timm designed to push your medical and biological knowledge to the limit. This MAT-style test serves as an excellent preparatory exam for your future medical admission tests. It demands speed, accuracy, and a comprehensive grasp of human biology and related sciences.
โ AEI: Astro & Eco Ideation (S, HS): Known for its "Uno Reverse" style, this event flips the traditional roles by making you the examiner. You must create a complex and original question set along with a detailed marking scheme. It tests your ability to think critically about Earth and Space sciences from a structural and pedagogical perspective.
It is an online submission-based event.
โ Star Mapping (S, HS): This segment is a true test for dedicated stargazers who can navigate the night sky with ease. Given a blank chart, you must accurately identify various constellations and deep-sky objects. It requires precise knowledge of celestial coordinates and the seasonal positions of stars to succeed. Show us our inner Hipparchus.
โ Climate & Ocean Quiz (J, S, HS): Our planet is 70% water and 100% in crisis, making this segment a call to action. Participants must showcase their understanding of marine ecosystems, climate science, and global environmental issues. Show us your knowledge of climate and oceans to help find solutions for the planet's most pressing crises.
โ Turn The Coat (S,HS): This segment tests your mental agility and your ability to view a single issue from two opposing perspectives. You must argue in favor of a scientific topic, but in the blink of an eye, you must instantly switch to arguing against it. It is a high-pressure test of scientific knowledge, logic, and public speaking.
โ Geotagging (O): A fast-paced geography challenge testing map-reading skills and spatial awareness across two distinct rounds. In the "Map It Right" written round, you mark locations on a blank map; top performers then advance to the "Battle of the Maps". This stage round is a 1v1 knockout duel where you must pinpoint locations on a projected map using a stick with speed and accuracy.
โ 3 Min Professor (S, HS): You have exactly 180 seconds to explain a mind-bending scientific theory to the crowd . Success depends on your ability to simplify complex jargon without losing scientific accuracy. Clarity is your only weapon as you attempt to inspire and educate an audience in a very limited timeframe.
โ Aeroverse Quest (S, HS): For those who see physics in motion every time a plane takes off and feel the thrill of aeronautics. This is a specialized test on aviation, aeronautical engineering, and your fundamental understanding of aerodynamics. It explores how massive objects conquer gravity and navigate the atmospheric "Aeroverse".
๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐๐ฌ:
โ Eco & Space Buzz (O): Recognized as the loudest quiz in the city, this team-based event requires a group of three. Teams must survive preliminary rounds to reach the grand stage for a high-intensity final round. It tests a wide range of topics related to ecology and space in a high-speed, competitive format.
โ Astro Movie Quiz (O): A team-based segment for "astro-cinephiles" to show their inner Christopher Nolan. Featured movies include the Star Trek franchise (2009, Into Darkness, Beyond), The Martian, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Blade Runner 2049. Test your knowledge on plot details, scientific accuracy, and the cinematic portrayal of space.
โ Guess to Gain (J, S): A fun segment that relies on rapid recognition and scientific wit. Participants must identify famous scientists, rare minerals, or distant stars based on cryptic clues and blurry images. It is a fast-paced hunt where memory and quick connections are the keys to success.
๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ:
โ Creative Writing (Academic and Sci-Fi) (O): Academic writing requires a 700-word deep dive into a scientific phenomenon where composition and flow are vital. Sci-Fi writing allows for imaginative storytelling, provided you do not break the fundamental laws of physics. Both tracks reward the ability to blend scientific literacy with compelling narrative or analytical skills.
It is an online submission-based event.
โ Powerpoint Presentation (O): Combine graphic design with scientific data to tell a compelling visual story on a digital stage. This segment tests your ability to present deep research through effective tools and engaging layouts. It is an essential platform for innovators looking to professionally communicate complex scientific ideas.
It is an online submission-based event.
๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ๐ฌ:
โ Green Tech Project Showcasing (J, S, HS): Build a physical project that solves a real-world environmental problem. This segment demonstrates how technology can be harnessed to protect and save our Earth. Judges look for creativity, technical feasibility, and the potential impact of the project on sustainability.
โ Astro Craft Designing (O): Show off your engineering prowess by creating scale models of historical or futuristic space hardware. Models can range from the classic Saturn V rocket to futuristic Mars rovers and deep-space probes. This segment highlights the intersection of engineering, art, and the history of space exploration.
โ Wall Magazine (O): A classic medium for deep research and artistic expression on Earth and Space science. Participants present their findings through elaborate, hand-crafted layouts that mesh art with scientific information.
โ Scrapbook (J, S, HS): Grant your imagination life via using colors, textures, and scientific facts. Create a captivating "book of wonders" that documents science concepts in a highly personalized and artistic format. It is an exercise in both scientific documentation and creative storytelling.
โ Childrenโs Craftwork (P): Dedicated to our Primary explorers from Nursery to Class 5 to showcase their early creativity. This segment allows the youngest scientists to express their interest in the world through hands-on crafting. It fosters an early love for science in a supportive, fun, and imaginative environment.
