The University of Pennsylvania’s Black Wharton Undergraduate Association (BWUA) is proud to host the 9th Annual Black Ivy League Business Conference (BILBCon). The Black Ivy League Business Conference was founded in 2016 as an elite conference whose purpose is to bring together ambitious and high-achieving Black students for two days to offer them a unique platform to collectively further their professional development. The Black Ivy League Business Conference stands out as a cornerstone event, embodying BWUA’s profound commitment to diversity and inclusion. This distinguished conference draws in over 200 undergraduate students from all Ivy League institutions and Howard University, each bringing their unique backgrounds and insights, thereby uniting and empowering undergraduate students who share a common interest in business. BWUA, with its diverse membership spanning various majors and industry interests, provides a broad spectrum of perspectives and expertise, enriching the conference experience.
Our theme for this year’s conference is Black Business Empowerment: Pathways to Success. This conference aims to empower the upcoming generation to delve into specialized industries. Our goals for the attendees are to expand their existing knowledge, expose them to niche business-related sectors, and encourage the exploration of new interests. Through panels, breakout sessions, insightful speakers, and more, serves as a platform for the voices of powerful Black students to develop their network amongst their peers, and learn how to present themselves professionally. This conference, therefore, is not just an event; it's a testament to the BWUA's broader mission to advocate for representation and equity within the Wharton School and the larger business community.
