The 9th Annual Beloit Gardeners Plant Exchange! Weee!Saturday May 17th, 9am to Noon.
This year we're back on the west side, 209 Portland Ave. (at 5th street)
Most of you already know the drill but for anyone new to this...
-- It's free.
-- All are welcome.
-- Rain or shine, no rain date. We'll have a canopy if needed.
-- Bring what you have too much of and don't want to compost it or throw away if there's someone who may love it as you have.
-- Perhaps you're that person who can pick something up you'd like to have in your garden.
-- Bringing something is not required (please come) but bringing something to share is kinda' what makes it work. 🙂
-- It is REALLY appreciated when folks label their plants with a tag or something. It's understandable that the donor may not stick around but then no one may recognize what this green thing is. 🙂 It really helps.
-- Started out originally just flowers but it's evolved to where lots of folks bring vegetables, fruits, herbs etc. Some folks bring native plants for naturalizing. Some have brought seeds. You never know. We'll have a mix.
-- In addition to plants, in the past some folks have brought excess garden equipment (tools, hoses, trellis etc.) You're welcome to bring this as well with the condition that you take it back with you if no one claims it. Please. 🙂
A word on "invasives". Many of us have inherited things in our yards when we moved in or simply didn't know any better when we introduced it ourselves. I have. 🙁
All things equal, if you're bringing something of this kind please label it or let folks know.
It's a great opportunity to meet some of your gardening neighbors and hang out for a bit. So join us won't you?
Lastly, all plants are fully guaranteed or your money back!
(did I mention it's free?)
