Join us for an evening of film food and collective reflection on fashion responsibility and grassroots action. This 99p Films social cinema event features a screening of ACTionism a documentary exploring the environmental and social impact of the global textile industry. From overconsumption to waste the film looks at where our clothes come from where they end up and the systems that shape these processes. It also shares examples of people working together to build more sustainable and fair alternatives.
At its heart the film is about community and collective action. It invites us to think about how we consume what alternatives exist and how change can happen when people come together around shared values.
